Basic Skate/Basic Hockey

Basic Skate/Basic Hockey program is for ages 4 through adult beginner.  Skaters learn how to skate and learn basic hockey skills.  Participants will learn how to glide forward, stride, stop and will progress to crossovers and backward skating.  Participants may move to Basic Hockey (same dates, times and fees) when they are skating comfortably forward.  Participates who already know how to skate can go immediately into Basic Hockey.

County League

County League program is for ages 5 -12 years old.  Participants will learn how to handle the stick and puck through various drills at practice.  Participants must be able to skate forward comfortably with balance.  There are two age categories for games:

            Mite County league is ages 5-8             Squirt County League is ages 9-12

Cost:

$130 for season; Equipment rental available $20 (helmet, shinpads, and elbow pads)

Travel League

Travel League program is for skaters ages 5 - 19 years old.  Participants have found that their skills improve at a faster rate because of the additional skating time and kids learn sportsmanship and have fun learning the game of hockey!  Teams compete in games against other city traveling teams.  This is great family time with your kids!!

The following is the breakdown of levels for the travel league.

Dates for Travel League:        

All practices are on Mondays and Thursdays except JV and High School.

JV practices Mondays and Wednesdays.

High School practices Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

Games are Saturdays and/or Sundays from November through the beginning of March.

Games for the Mite and Squirt levels are played in Green Bay, Appleton, Sheboygan, and Depere.  The PeeWee through Girls teams play additional travel games in areas like West Bend, Fond du Lac, and Marinette.

Registration for all hockey programs

Fill out registration forms which are available on the website www.manitowochockey.org.

Additional registration for Travel league only:  Pre-register with USA Hockey through an internet connection at http://www.usahockeyregistration.com ($40 total = $30 to USA hockey, $10 to WAHA) and print confirmation of payment and hand in with other registration forms.
